  • Mother & Daughter at Home

         One of the blogs I love is Graceful Girlhood, formerly In Beauty and In Grace.  Kim, the author of the blog, is starting a Mother and Daughter At Home event which will be held the first Friday evening of every month.  She has chosen the sweetest themes and Holland, Dulcie and I can hardly wait to begin.  The point is to spend time with your daughter (s) and while it doesn't have to be on Friday evenings, this is the time Kim has planned for her family.  I will probably have my Mother/Daughter time during the afternoon as Mark is home in the evening and we wouldn't want to exclude him as his time with them is limited.  Now, I would like to point out that I spend all of my days with my girls, homeschooling, chauffeuring them to ballet and piano, etc.  But I love having these special times to plan for and look forward to with them.

         I've written before about my treasured memories of my own childhood and my hope is through participating in this Mother & Daughter at Home, my girls will have equally special memories of their childhoods.  Would you like to join us?

    Afternoon teas with your daughters would be a wonderful time together.

    I found your blog on the Graceful Girlhood yahoo group... I just love your pictures!  :)  I'm hoping to do something fun for mother/daughter party as well... can't wait to hear what you all end up doing!

    BTW, how did you post the Mother/Daughter "button" from Graceful Girlhood?... I can't figure out how to make that work on Xanga.

    Be Blessed,

    @TeacherBritt -

    Brittany,   Thanks for your comments on my blog!  I just love the Graceful Girlhood group, don't you?   I'm not very good with the computer but what I did was to right click on the Mother/Daughter button and then click Save to My Computer.  Then, I just treated it like photographs I add to my blog (upload, choose, etc.).  Hope this helps.  Let me know if you get it to work.   I see you have two beautiful daughters as well.  :)  Also, do you live in Texas?  I was born in Beaumont (many years ago)!   Dee Ann Fava, Grace at Home

    Dee Ann, I think I will join in, too! I feel like my 8 year old daughter gets left out a lot b/c of the two younger boys we have. Oh, and I know Beaumont! I am from New Braunfels, Tx, originally from Dallas. Funny! Your pictures are splendid, indeed!!

    @rachelmaze - Rachel, I can't remember...do you homeschool or not?  Aren't you moving to Mt. Pleasant from downtown?  Have you found a house yet?  Do you think you'll attend Providence?  (fingers crossed)  Sorry for all the questions.  ;)

    Hi Dee!

    I hadn't heard from you in awhile and just wanted to check in. No expectations at all, so don't feel that's why I'm popping in.  You've honestly just come to my mind several times recently, and I've come to trust that when that happens, its usually for a reason.  Hope all is well!

    I've been missing all of your sweet posts here on your blog.  Hope you're doing okay and can get back to blogging soon.

    Blessings,
